Job description

Provide day-to-day oversight and leadership of the pump and packaging assembly areas to ensure workflow is meeting schedule output

Maintain expert level skill on all pump and packaging assembly processes and train assemblers on these processes

Oversee department resources to maximize production efficiency

Ensure employees have all required tools and materials to perform their daily jobs

Assist Engineering department with RMA evaluations

Take proper care of tools and measuring equipment (including cooling and oil)

Ensure work areas are organized, clean and create safe working environment

Be sure safety checks are being done in area and any issues are being addressed

Coordinate with other department leaders to ensure production requirements are being met

Experience requirements

3-5 years of assembly experience required

Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication

Experience with hand tools, power tools and machinery

Knowledge

Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and diagrams

Adjust, operate, and understand set-up of machines and tools in your area to produce various parts with specifications from blueprints

Proficiency with measuring equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers

Forklift driving license is desirable

Educational requirements

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred

Some college coursework preferred
